The writing is not even particularly well done, the premise is moderately amusing but not memorable, and the main lead character is at least initially an irresponsible fool. It sounds like maybe she has gotten a little common sense by the end of volume one, but she is a very slow learner. The book was boring enough that I kept checking to see /5(K). The lack of chapters is irritating and language is difficult to read. The events that take place are interesting but it is difficult to tell what might be historically accurate. Lastly, the sexism in this book is disgusting, although moderately amusing if you choose not to be offended/5. I expected to be laughing hysterically as Chad's antics. He's a ghost who believes he can get away with it after all (that's a summary of the author's note about Chad) - but he was only moderately amusing and from time to time quite annoying. But the story does get the PI involved and brings the residents together so we can get5/5(5).   The moderately amusing fourth film in the franchise mixes things up with a road trip and new cast. Her essays have been included in Best American Essays , Fierce Pajamas, an Anthology of New Yorker Humor, and The Big New Yorker Book of Dogs. She grew up in Westport, Ct. And lives in Venice, California. Here’s my moderately amusing other official bio: As a child, Cathleen Schine dreamed of growing up to become a graduate student.   USA TODAY, one of the world’s leading newspapers, has come up with another collection of crossword puzzles. The puzzles are not only amusing but also entertaining. It does cost slightly more than most of the other collections but it is worth the price. The book is pages and measures 7 by by 9 inches and weighs pounds.5/5(17).   It doesn't get better than Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Whether you're the hopeless romantic or you just love the classics, you're going to love this book. Though I am only sixteen, I consider myself to be moderately well-read. I love reading, and, when I am between books, my life feels desolate and by: 4.

Yes, the book is full of snarky British slang, but author Louise Rennison has thoughtfully included a glossary at the back of the book for us Yanks. The Stinky Cheese Man And Other Fairly Stupid Tales.   The only book that’s ever literally made me fall out of bed laughing is Towards the End of the Morning by Michael Frayn. I read it when I Author: Guardian Staff. An amusing book in its explanation of the crimes for which these women were imprisoned, and the sailors who mated with them. Some tradgedy in the more innoccent cases, but certainly a feeling that the prisoners on board ship were pretty capable of looking after themselves.   Like for powerlifting was a whole book to make these changes: You can work up to a moderately heavy weight after your sets. And the secret weapon that makes the book worth 10 times what you paid.
